Here are a few tips to help you access your Academic Writer account. 

How to Reset Your Password

Make sure you enter the email address you used to create your Academic Writer account.

If you’re unable to log in, especially if you’ve recently changed your password, follow the steps below:
  • Go to the user logout page to fully log out of your account.
  • Completely close or quit your browser, not just the Academic Writer tab.
  • Return to Academic Writer to log in again. (You may need to return to your library page or course modules to do this.)

Best Practices

  • Always log out when you’re finished using Academic Writer; don’t just close your browser.
  • Disable browser auto-fill, saved password, and keep me logged in options.
  • Uncheck the Keep me logged in on this computer box on the Academic Writer login page.
  • Consider clearing your cache and cookies for Academic Writer:
    • Chrome
    • Firefox
    • Safari – In the Privacy area of the Settings menu, select Manage Website Data… to clear data from only Academic Writer.

  • Internet Explorer and Edge are not recommended and are not supported for proxy use.
